I'm constant in my procrastination
Did go with Frank on Monday and he had his last BCG treatment. He's scheduled for a visit on December 22 to see how well the treatments went. Since the live bacteria he was injected with is hard on the bladder he has to get several weeks rest in for some healing time.
On the election front I did go pick up some voter registration cards and I carry them with me on the chance I get to sign some people up. I have managed to sign up two people I met at the 'watering hole' at Auditorium Shores. Yea! Oh, and they were young Obama friendly people. I watched most of the Debate last night and thought Obama did well and that McCain looked a bit defensive.
Lots of football games on that we are enjoying but Frank is waiting for Bama and Georgia to come on. He hopes they do as well as Ole Miss and Oregon. :-)
Was sad to hear about Paul Newman passing away. I really did enjoy his movies. I chuckled when I read that one of his best moments was when he learned he had been put on the 'enemies of Nixon' list. Man after my own heart. ;-)

Make your own
We went to the local Dem. campaign headquarters this past Monday and they did not have any yard signs so I made my own. Frank made a frame for it and posted it in the front yard. I also made my own button which I wear pinned to my purse so when I go out I always have it with me. I don't know if it helps the campaign but I imagine they have to pay to have the signs and buttons done. This way I was able to send in a small donation directly to the campaign and not spend it at the store where the campaign only gets a portion of it. On a more serious note, and I'm not being catty here. McCain is an elderly man and dementia gets worse late in the evening so it is possible that he has some dementia and this could explain some of his latests gaffes, Zapatero, economy fine one day and crisis the next. Ok, most of his statements are outright lies but some of it could be due to dementia and his staff is covering it up. Sarah Palin's excuse for lying and being 'confused'? I have no idea...perhaps she's just a bobble head.

Good article

Did you hear about how Barack Obama wants to have sex education in kindergarten, and called Sarah Palin a pig? Did you hear about how Palin told Congress, "Thanks, but no thanks" when it wanted to buy Alaska a Bridge to Nowhere?...
These stories have two things in common: They're all claims recently made by the McCain campaign - and they're all out-and-out lies.
Dishonesty is nothing new in politics. I spent much of 2000 - my first year at The New York Times - trying to alert readers to the blatant dishonesty of the Bush campaign's claims about taxes, spending and Social Security.
But I can't think of any precedent, at least in America, for the blizzard of lies since the Republican convention. The Bush campaign's lies in 2000 were artful - you needed some grasp of arithmetic to realize that you were being conned. This year, however, the McCain campaign keeps making assertions that anyone with an Internet connection can disprove in a minute, and repeating these assertions over and over again.
Take the case of the Bridge to Nowhere, which supposedly gives Palin credentials as a reformer. When campaigning for governor, Palin didn't say "no thanks" - she was all for the bridge, even though it had already become a national scandal, insisting that she would "not allow the spinmeisters to turn this project or any other into something that's so negative."

Frank has enjoyed the college games so far, Bama is winning, and the Cowboys are looking, dare I say it, good so far this season. Mom is happy about Notre Dame winning but wasn't that something about the coach getting hurt? I think it's happened before..but I'm not sure. Perhaps it was Joe Paterno who was hurt during a game...hum.
Frank has a treatment tomorrow and then it'll be down to one more. I know he's happy about that.
Talked to Evie who lives in Seattle and she said that she made a 25 dollar donation to the Obama/Biden campaign and that one of her friends did some canvasing for the campaign just recently and fund raisers are planned for and ready to go. The are all thirty to forty something year olds, male and female, and working hard to get the change we so desperately need.
I found this video on YouTube and the three men were Hillary supporters and are now Obama/Biden supporters and they state some reasons why.
